02 - 8 small breakfast sausage patties (1.4 oz each)
03 - 4 large eggs
04 - 4 slices cheddar cheese, halved
05 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
06 - 2 tbsp maple syrup
07 - 1 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)

08 - 1/4 tsp salt
09 - 1/8 tsp black pepper

→ Garnish (optional)

10 - Fresh chives, finely chopped

# How To Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F.
02 - Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook sausage patties until browned and cooked through, about 3–4 minutes per side. Remove and keep warm.
03 - Wipe out the skillet, whisk eggs with salt and pepper. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-low heat, then pour in eggs and scramble gently until just set. Remove from heat.
04 - Slice slider buns horizontally. Spread mayonnaise on bottom halves if using. Layer each with scrambled eggs, a sausage patty, and half a slice of cheddar cheese. Drizzle with maple syrup.
05 - Place top buns on sliders, arrange on a baking tray. Brush tops with remaining butter. Bake for 5–7 minutes until cheese melts and buns toast lightly.
06 - Optionally garnish with fresh chives. Serve warm.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • They're ridiculously easy to eat with one hand, leaving your other free for coffee or conversation.
  • The sweet-savory combination of maple syrup with sausage and cheese feels like a tiny flavor explosion in your mouth.
  • You can prep everything ahead and just pop them in the oven when guests arrive, making you look like you weren't stressed at all.
02 -
  • Don't skip the oven step, it's what transforms them from cold sliders into melted-cheese perfection in just a few minutes.
  • Scramble your eggs on medium-low heat and pull them off while they still look slightly underdone, because they'll keep cooking when the cheese melts on top.
03 -
  • Assemble everything up to the point of baking ahead of time and cover the tray with foil, then bake when you're ready, so the cheese melts fresh and warm right before serving.
  • Use softened butter instead of melted so it stays put on the buns and doesn't drip into the oven.
