# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It tastes like you spent hours on it when really you just sliced some fruit and poured juice, which is the best kind of recipe deception.
  • Nobody feels left out because there's no alcohol—everyone at the table can enjoy the exact same beautiful thing.
  • The flavor gets better as it sits, so you can prep it before guests arrive and actually relax instead of stress.
02 -
  • Never add the sparkling water until you're actually serving—I learned this the hard way by making it two hours early and watching it go completely flat and sad by the time people arrived.
  • Using freshly squeezed juices instead of bottled makes a difference you can actually taste; it tastes brighter and more alive, like the difference between a photograph and being there in person.
03 -
  • Chill your pitcher and glasses beforehand so the drink stays cold longer and you're not diluting it with melting ice as quickly.
  • If you forget to halve the grapes, just do it right before serving—they actually look prettier whole if you're in a rush, and honestly nobody minds either way.
